Key flow Pix were one of the primary security incidents that affected the Brazilian internet in 2024, according to Apura’s recent cybersecurity report.
The survey provides details on fraud and threats in 2024, highlighting the main malicious individuals and common weaknesses and concepts.
The survey identified 12 significant leaks at the BC (Central Bank), setting a new record. These leaks were associated with 12 distinct financial institutions, affecting more than 260,000 PIX keys during the investigation.
Analysts who authored the report have stated that sensitive information obtained from Pix keys can be exploited for fraudulent activities like phishing and more sophisticated manipulative tactics.

The percentage equates to roughly 47 million transactions per day using the instant payment system.
Vieira mentioned during the 2024 results presentation interview that Box plans to eliminate the use of paper in housing credit by 2025. He also discussed the company’s significant technology investments totaling R$ 2.2 billion in 2024, aiming to reduce the need to cut down 4,400 trees annually.
