Bosch plans to invest 721 million Brazilian reais in the agricultural sector in Brazil.
Bosch, the German multinational, is set to secure R$ 521 million from Finep and BNDES to enhance research and development in Brazil, with a specific focus on agribusiness. Additionally, the company will invest R$ 200 million of its own funds in the sector.
The company, known for its work in producing parts, services, and technologies, has expanded into the agricultural industry in recent years. Of the R$ 521 million secured, R$ 470 million will be provided by Finep and R$ 51 million by BNDES. The funds will be allocated for research and development in sustainable transportation, industry 4.0, smart agricultural systems, and remanufacturing of automotive parts, as reported by “AgFeed.”
Investments are scheduled to take place by 2027, sourced from the More Innovation program initiated by the Federal Government in 2023 as part of the NIB (New Industry Plan Brazil).
Equity investments will also be used in Bosch’s agricultural sector, which includes activities in Brazil and Argentina.
